One of the Deadlys® most glittering events is the Red Carpet where celebrities and community achievers gather just before the main show in the Opera House. Over the years, it has hosted our top performers across sport, music, the arts and community.
Regarded by many to be the world’s best player, it isn’t surprising that Johnathan Thurston can lay claim to owning the most number of Deadlys for Achievement in the NRL. The Cowboys and Queensland half is in fact the only player to have won the award more than once, and was voted the top Indigenous league player in 2006, 2007, 2009 and 2011.
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people working in science and technology roles across the country are being encouraged to enter the inaugural Deadly Award for Scientist or Science Project of the Year.
